Welcome to Valkyrie Stomp!
I'm Cassidy, the voice behind Valkyrie Stomp. I'm so happy you decided to stop by! As an aspiring personal trainer, there's nothing that makes me smile more than inspiring others to value themselves. This is exactly what I hope to accomplish with Valkyrie Stomp via free workouts and nutrition tips. Random tidbits of my own life might sneak in here and there, too.
I'm a twenty year old wonder attempting to survive college as an Exercise and Sports Science major while living with my parents. It's cheaper than a dorm, okay? Not to mention cleaner. And prettier. And more quiet. Okay, okay. I love living with my parents. Let's see...this is me in a nutshell: I like taking obnoxiously long walks, dogs, the color green the back of a leaf turns when the sun hits it, good food, sea foam between my toes, smelling smoke and feeling cold at the same time, and you. You're really awesome. Didn't know if anyone forgot to tell you today.
While I'm not currently certified in any shape or form, it isn't my belief that someone needs a permit to share knowledge with others. It's experience that grants true wisdom, which is something I have plenty of when it comes to health and wellness. However, I'm not certified in either fitness or nutrition...yet. I felt like the disclaimer was necessary. I don't want anyone to yell at me for not mentioning that. You wouldn't yell at me, would you? Good. Because that would raise your blood pressure. And that ain't healthy. Ooooh, snap. ;)
If you couldn't tell from above, I've got a dorky sense of a humor, but when it comes to making others feel strong, I'm pretty serious. Too many women underestimate themselves, striving to cater to the expectations of others, and not giving themselves the time and consideration that they need for optimal happiness in life. Too many women look into a mirror and wave away every beautiful thing about their bodies and see only things that need to be changed, when in reality, it's only attitudes that need to be altered. All bodies are perfect. It's the unhealthy body - one that is deprived of healthy exercise and nutritious diet, or perhaps too much of both - that needs your love, not your disfavor. Love yourself in all ways, for all reasons. If there was any one thing I hope to communicate with this blog and succeed, it would be that.
